Volop onderdeel van transitie en ambitie

Onze ambitie liegt er niet om, wij willen het beste hypotheek platform met dito BPO dienstverlening creëren.

Om deze ambitie waar te maken, zijn wij volop in transitie. Zo heeft Quion zeer recentelijk de transitie gemaakt van een IT gedreven organisatie naar een Product & Platform gedreven organisatie. We hebben bijvoorbeeld Product Management en IT volledig geïntegreerd. De Product & Platform Organisatie is daarbij verantwoordelijk voor het gehele proces van visie vorming tot aan IT implementatie. Ook maken we de draai naar een product gerichte aanpak en is ons IT platform in transitie.

Quion is de grootste onafhankelijke third party servicer van Nederland voor hypotheken en consumptief krediet. Wij begeleiden met trots het beheer van hypotheken en consumptief krediet voor gerenommeerde nationale en internationale financiële organisaties met uiteenlopende signatuur. Voor deze organisaties zijn wij dé business partner die hen helpt om hun klanten succesvol te bedienen in een veranderende wereld.

Als Release Train Engineer maak je onderdeel uit van het Product Operations team en rapporteer je aan de Head of Product Operations, Kris de Leeuw. Je faciliteert hiermee alle product teams en je werkt direct en indirect verder samen met de andere IT teams, IT partners, de gebruikersorganisatie, business partners en andere betrokkenen bij de Agile Release Train..

Wat ga je doen?

Als Release Train Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteit van het proces van waarde creatie uitgevoerd door de product teams.

De product teams werken in de Agile Release Train (ART) dienstverlening van de Product en Platform organisatie aan het continue leveren van waarde voor de organisatie en haar klanten. Als dienend leider zorg jij voor optimale samenwerking en onderlinge afstemming tussen de teams en IT partners en bouw je mee aan een optimale inrichting van de platform organisatie.

Jij helpt de teams in het leveren van een toegevoegde waarde. Dat doe je door het managen van risico’s en afhankelijkheden tussen de teams en de omgeving. Je bent eigenaar van de Programma Increment (PI)-cyclus en zorgt voor de tactische inplanning en operationele dagelijkse begeleiding.

Je werkt nauw samen met Scrum Masters, Poduct Owners en SDLC & Quality Managers om samen met de productteams de Agile-werkwijze verder te verfijnen en te implementeren.

Binnen Quion passen wij elementen uit SAFe toe, maar hebben dit zeer zeker niet dogmatisch doorgevoerd (met een reden). We zijn dan ook op zoek naar een Release Train Engineer die pragmatisch de diverse best practices kan toepassen. Wij zoeken iemand die de theorie kent, maar ook graag handelt vanuit de praktijk.

Kortom, als Release Train Engineer:

• Zet jij de Programma Increment cyclus volledig neer en lever je elk kwartaal een PI delivery plan op.
• Faciliteer en bewaak je de dagelijkse programma increment planning en zorg je voor managen risico’s en afwijkingen;
• Ga je je bezighouden met het voorbereiden en coördineren van uitvoer van tussentijdse events (Business Reviews, Business Syncs, andere events) en rapporteer je over de PI voortgang;
• Vertaal je agile release train prioriteiten vanuit de roadmap naar PI prioritering;
• Zorg jij voor een doorontwikkeling en naar een verder niveau brengen van de way of working.

To realize this ambition, we are in transition. Quion, for example, very recently made the transition from an IT-driven organization to a Product & Platform-driven organization. For example, we have fully integrated Product Management and IT. The Product & Platform Organization is responsible for the entire process from vision creation to IT implementation. We are also turning to a product-oriented approach and our IT platform is in transition.

As Release Train Engineer you are part of the Product Operations team and report to the Head of Product Operations, Kris de Leeuw. With this you will facilitate all product teams and you will further collaborate directly and indirectly with the other IT teams, IT partners, the user organization, business partners and others involved in the Agile Release Train....

What will you do?
As a Release Train Engineer you are responsible for the quality of the process of value creation performed by the product teams.
The product teams work in the Agile Release Train (ART) services of the Product and Platform organization to continuously deliver value for the organization and its customers. As a servant leader, you ensure optimal collaboration and alignment between the teams and IT partners and help build an optimal setup of the platform organization.
You help the teams in delivering added value. You do this by managing risks and dependencies between the teams and the environment. You own the Program Increment (PI) cycle and provide tactical in-planning and operational day-to-day guidance.
You will work closely with Scrum Masters, Poduct Owners and SDLC & Quality Managers to further refine and implement Agile working practices with the product teams.
Within Quion we apply elements from SAFe, but have very much not implemented it dogmatically (for a reason). We are therefore looking for a Release Train Engineer who can pragmatically apply the various best practices. We are looking for someone who knows the theory, but also likes to act from practice.

In short, as a Release Train Engineer:
Do you fully establish the Program Increment cycle and deliver quarterly PI delivery plans.
Facilitate and monitor the daily program increment planning and take care of managing risks and deviations;
Engage in preparing and coordinating execution of interim events (Business Reviews, Business Syncs, other events) and report on PI progress;
Translate your agile release train priorities from the roadmap to PI prioritization;
Ensure you continue to develop and bring the way of working to a further level.

Wat heb je nodig voor deze functie?

Je bent communicatief erg sterk en in een gesprek signaleer je risico’s & kansen en vraag je hierop door. Je neemt van nature gemakkelijk het voortouw en je hebt een enthousiaste en energieke uitstraling. Je biedt een luisterend oor, maar je stuurt ook bij wanneer nodig. Je houdt het overzicht en hebt een sterke focus op resultaat. In je loopbaan heb je ruime ervaring met het vertalen van klantbehoeftes naar commercieel succesvolle resultaten. Je bent tactvol en kan goed de belangen van de verschillende stakeholders inschatten.

Daarnaast

• Heb je WO werk- en denkniveau;
• Heb je minimaal 8 jaar relevante ervaring met het functioneel aansturen van complexe projecten;
• Ben je bekend en ervaren met software development;
• Heb je ervaring met het aansturen van meerdere teams en het managen van tegengestelde belangen;
• Heb je ervaring met complexe automatiseringsprojecten als project / programma manager of business analist;
• Heb je kennis en ervaring (minimaal 3 jaar) met werken in een scaled agile omgeving volgens SAFe;
• Ben je in bezit van certificering SAFe framework en/of ervaring in andere scaled agile methoden;
• Ben je een goede sparringpartner voor je omgeving, met en zonder agile ervaring en los van hiërarchisch niveau;
• Heb je ervaring in coachende rollen met uitstekende organisatorische vaardigheden;
• Ben je bekend met het analyseren van processen en werkwijzen, het voorstellen en implementeren van verbetermogelijkheden;
• Is jouw kennis van de Engelse taal vloeiend, zowel in woord als geschrift.

What do you need for this position?
You are very strong communicator and in conversation you identify risks & opportunities and ask about them. By nature you easily take the lead and you have an enthusiastic and energetic appearance. In your career you have extensive experience in translating customer needs into commercially successful results. You are tactful and can assess the interests of different stakeholders.

Furthermore
You have a WO working and thinking level;
You have at least 8 years of relevant experience with the functional management of complex projects;
Are you familiar and experienced with software development;
Do you have experience with leading multiple teams and managing conflicting interests;
Do you have experience with complex automation projects as a project/program manager or business analyst;
Do you have knowledge and experience (at least 3 years) of working in a scaled agile environment according to SAFe;
Are you in possession of certification SAFe framework and/or experience in other scaled agile methods;
Are you a good sparring partner for your environment, with and without agile experience and apart from hierarchical level;
Do you have experience in coaching roles with excellent organizational skills;
Are you familiar with analyzing processes and practices, proposing and implementing improvement opportunities;
Is your knowledge of the English language fluent, both verbally and in writing.
